How It Works:
- Get-NetAdapter returns every network adapter recognized by the system, alongside its currently installed driver version.
- DriverVersion shows the version number as reported by the manufacturer - useful for comparing against the latest available driver on the manufacturer's website, or confirming a recent driver update actually took effect.
Pro Tip:
Combine this with InterfaceDescription (from the manufacturer/model article) to get the exact chipset name alongside its driver version in one query:
Get-NetAdapter | Select-Object Name, InterfaceDescription, DriverVersion
